Garnet

Garnet is a natural mineral belonging to the garnet group, characterized by remarkable hardness and resistance. Composed of about 97-98% Almandite, one of the hardest garnets, it has a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, a high specific weight of 4.1 kg/dm³, and low friability, characteristics that make it ideal for highly effective sandblasting processes.

This natural abrasive is chemically stable and free of free silica, ensuring safety in use and the absence of harmful or reactive dust. Its chemical inertness makes it easy to dispose of and safe even in sensitive work environments.

Thanks to its low friability and good reusability, Garnet allows for increased processing speed and reduced material consumption compared to other sands or slags. It can be used multiple times without loss of performance, optimizing operating costs.

Its use is versatile: it is suitable for sandblasting and cleaning stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, glass, and marble, but is also indicated for maintenance and cleaning work on building facades.
