Glass microspheres
Glass microspheres are non-metallic abrasives characterized by a uniform spherical shape, excellent resistance to breakage, and gentleness on treated surfaces. Thanks to these properties, they are ideal for sandblasting processes, where they help achieve more uniform, smooth, and durable surfaces, improving material performance and reducing production costs.
Glass microspheres are mainly used when it is necessary to treat delicate parts without altering their shape, size, or sharp edges, ensuring a finish with minimal roughness and a softened surface profile. They are particularly suitable for deburring and pretreatment of cutting tools, surgical instruments, electronic components, jewelry, and dental equipment, as well as for finishing glass surfaces.
Their resistance to breakage also makes them suitable for recirculating sandblasting systems, where the material can be reused multiple times without losing effectiveness, combining precision, safety, and operational savings.
