The operation of a plant is directly linked to technical, economic, and regulatory issues.
Managing a plant, scheduling routine and extraordinary maintenance, and identifying necessary technological upgrades are actions that require technical expertise, organizational skills, and knowledge of current legislation.
The experience and professionalism of our technicians, developed over many years in the industry, allow us to successfully provide maintenance and support services for any type of shot blasting and grit blasting machine and plant.
Our program includes:
1 – Preliminary plant inspection
Usually carried out through an on-site technical visit to determine the efficiency and functionality of the machines. Based on this inspection, a maintenance contract is formulated: a detailed plan describing the required interventions and frequencies to ensure proper functionality and preservation of the equipment.
2 – Scheduled routine maintenance
Through planning of predefined, equipment-specific operations carried out at set intervals by qualified technical personnel, aimed at maintaining the efficiency and integrity of individual components and reducing the likelihood of malfunctions.
3 – Corrective maintenance for unexpected machine stoppages
Aimed at eliminating faults that could compromise the operation and economic management of the machines.
4 – Extraordinary maintenance
Driven by the need for functional or regulatory upgrades
.
One of the main concerns for companies, and therefore for their employers, is to provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment, in order to protect their physical well-being. This principle, in addition to being an ethical and moral obligation, is established by Legislative Decree No. 81 of 2008, Articles 18, 70, and 71, regardless of the date of the machinery’s construction.
We always emphasize that, in the event of accidents or injuries, the Employer will be held personally responsible if deemed liable, including criminal liability before a Judge.
For this reason, it is extremely important that all safety arrangements for machines and equipment also take into account technical and regulatory developments that have occurred since their construction.
1 – Machines or plants of relatively recent construction, as defined by Legislative Decree No. 17/2010
Recommended actions:
It is advisable to verify the integrity of the safety devices installed by the manufacturer, as well as the current compliance of the criteria originally adopted.
2 – Machines built before 1996 and without "CE" marking
Since the design criteria adopted by the manufacturer are unknown, as well as their level of awareness regarding the regulations in force at the time, the following steps are recommended:
Conduct a risk assessment for personnel operating the machine, both during normal operation and during setup, maintenance, adjustment, or cleaning.
Check for the presence of guards or safety devices required based on the risks identified in the assessment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of these safety devices, both mechanical and electrical, and their compliance with current European standards. This includes dimensions, electrical interlocks, stop times for moving hazardous parts, and the possibility of control.
Recommended actions:
Implement any necessary upgrades, update the technical documentation, and prepare a technical file containing a detailed list of interventions performed, each justified by the applicable law or standard.
Winblast, in collaboration with its safety consultants, is able to provide all services required to upgrade your plants in compliance with current regulations, as well as consultancy for risk assessment and non-compliance, identification of solutions, and certification of completed interventions.
It often happens that a company needs to relocate, decides to reorganize its production layout for operational reasons, or simply needs to move a plant to make room for a new one.
However, moving machinery requires specific knowledge, careful planning, and great attention.
During the disassembly phase, it is crucial to follow precise procedures based on a thorough understanding of the type of plant. This ensures that, during reassembly, no issues arise that could delay commissioning or compromise the proper functioning of the machine.
Our program includes:
Disassembly, transfer, and reassembly of plants already owned by you
Installation of new plants
Disassembly of plants at your suppliers’ facilities and subsequent reassembly at your site
